Play therapy is to children what counselling is to adults. Children express their challenges through immersive play. This includes the use of toys, puppets, drawing, kinetic sand and more.

Consultations

Sometimes, parenting seems just so damn hard! Parent/carer consultations offer caregivers the opportunity to talk with the therapist to assess their child's needs, and work on ways to ease tensions and challenges. 

There are times, when it is really beneficial for the family to come in for a discussion. This is because often, even though one person may be experiencing issues, family systems and patterns may be contributing. We can work together to see how the family ticks, what works, what doesn't and create a new way forward.

Maybe you need your own space to talk about your struggles. It might be about something from the past, or something that you are experiencing right now, or both! It might be more complex, or a singular challenge that is getting you feeling stuck or worried or sad. This is a space for you! You get to decide how you want to use it.
